Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- Level-4/Level-5: A University Degree or its equivalent from recognized University
- Level-2/Level-3: Passed 12th (Plus-II stage) or its equivalent examination from Government recognized Board/Council
- Level-1: 10th pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT
- Educational Qualification must be from a Recognized institution
- Those appearing at and/or awaiting results of final examinations are not eligible
- Candidates should possess requisite academic qualification while applying
- No relaxation in minimum educational qualification shall be permissible
- For appointment against Sports quota in Technician-III, minimum qualification is 10th pass, but training period will be 3 years unless ITI qualified (then 6 months)

- At least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships, OR
- At least 3rd Position in National Games organized by IOA, OR
- At least 3rd Position in All India Inter University Championship, OR
- 1st Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior)
- Level-1 Minimum Sports Norms:
- Represented Country in Commonwealth Championship/Asian Championship/Asia Cup/SAF Games/USIC Championship/World University Games, OR
- At least 3rd Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior), OR
- Represented State equivalent Unit with at least 8th position in Senior National Championship (except Marathon and Cross Country)
- Applicant must have earned achievements on or after 01.04.2023
- Concluding day of Championship/Event shall be taken into consideration
- All Championships/Events should be conducted under aegis of International/National Sports Federations recognized by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MoYAS)
- No recruitment based on certificates from federations not recognized by MoYAS at time of championship

- Badminton (Men): Current Annual All India Ranking up to 8th position (Seniors-Singles) or World Ranking up to 50th position (Seniors-Singles) or 30th position (Juniors-Singles) for Level-4/5
- Athletics (Men): Gold Medal in Open National Championship/Inter State Athletics Championships/Asian Championships for Level-4/5; Medal in National Inter State Senior Athletics Championship for Level-2/3
- Hockey: Participation in International Tournament (4+ nations) or Semifinalist in Senior National Championships for Level-2/3; Events recognized by Hockey India considered
- Chess (Men): International Master title or 2350+ rating points in last two FIDE Rating Lists for Level-2/3
- Archery (Women): Medal performance in All India Inter University Championship and International events
- Rifle Shooting (Men): National Shooting Championship Competition – only individual performance considered
- Cricket (Men): Representation in Main Indian Team/India-A/India U-19 in Test/ODI/T20 matches; Quarter/Pre-Quarter finalist in All India Inter State Championships
- Tennis (Men): Annual All India Ranking up to 30th position (Seniors-Singles) for Level-1
- Golf (Men): IGU ranking up to 100 with single handicap less than 10 for Level-1

Distribution of Marks (Total: 100 Marks)
Minimum Qualifying Marks
- Recruitment process purely based on merit of candidates as per vacancies in particular discipline
- In case of tie (same marks), preference given to younger candidate

- SC/ST candidates eligible for free rail travel in second class for attending Sports Trials
