Selection Process
- The meritorious sportspersons will be considered for appointment based on the following criteria: Order of Preference: Meritorious sportspersons will be selected as per the order of preference contained in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) OM No. 14034/1/95-Estt. (D) dated 04.05.1995 and as mentioned in the instruction issued by the DoPT vide OM No. 1720781414772 dated 04.03.2024.
General Information/Instructions
| While considering the eligibility of the applicant, only the certificates awarded by the authorities mentioned hereunder will be considered as evidence in support of having participated in competitions in any of the above Sports/Games. A candidate, who cannot produce self-attested copies of at least one certificate issued by one of the authorities mentioned hereunder along with the application, need not apply. |
| The candidate must be a citizen of India. |
| This relaxation will be admissible only to those sportspersons who satisfy all other eligibility conditions related to education and sports qualifications, and furnish a certificate in the prescribed form, from an authority prescribed in the DoPT OM No. 1720781414772 dated 04.03.2024. |
| The sports achievements/participation of the candidates shall be considered only up to the date of this notification, i.e. 07.01.2026. Any sports achievement obtained after the said date shall not be considered for the purpose of recruitment under sports quota. |
| Failure to comply with the instructions/conditions prescribed in the notification will result in the rejection of the application and no intimation will be served. No communication in this regard will be entertained. |
| In the event of any tie or in any other case, the decision of the Pr.CCIT, Mumbai shall be final. |
