ESIC IMO Recruitment 2026 – Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) invites applications offline for 225 Insurance Medical Officer Grade-II (IMO Gr. II) posts across India. The recruitment is based on Combined Medical Services Examination (CMSE)-2024 marks from UPSC via the Pratibha Setu Portal, targeting MBBS graduates with compulsory rotating internship completion, registration with National/State Medical Council, and consent for sharing CMSE-2024 marks. Age limit is not exceeding 35 years as on 01-08-2024 (with relaxations for reserved categories and government servants). Selected candidates receive pay at Level-10 (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500) in the Pay Matrix plus Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) and other allowances. ESIC Insurance Medical Officer Grade-II (IMO Gr. II) Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

Note: Total vacancies include 62 positions broken down as: 9+24 (backlog from 2024 roster) + 29 (backlog carried forward from last two recruitment cycles). The vacancies may undergo changes depending upon actual requirement. Candidates selected under PwBD category will be adjusted against their main category of UR, SC, ST, OBC and EWS.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

• A recognised MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
• Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
• Completion of Compulsory rotating internship. Candidates who may not have completed rotating internships shall be eligible to apply provided that, if selected, they shall have satisfactorily completed the compulsory internship before appointment.

Desirable

• Candidates whose names appear in the details of candidates of CMSE-2024 on the Pratibha Setu Portal of UPSC, as on closing date i.e. 17.02.2026 are eligible to apply.
• Registration with National Medical Council or State Medical Council is mandatory.

Salary/Stipend

• Pay Scale: Level-10 in the Pay Matrix Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500 per month
• Non-Practicing Allowance: As admissible to analogous post in the Central Government
• Additional Benefits: DA (Dearness Allowance), NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance) and Transport Allowance as per rules of Government of India in force from time to time

Age Limit (as on 01.08.2024)

• Maximum Age: Not exceeding 35 years as on 01.08.2024
• Age Relaxation: Relaxable up to five years for employees of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation and Government servants in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government from time to time
• Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is also relaxable to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen and other categories of persons as per rules/instructions of Government of India
• SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Serviceman Relaxation: As per DOPT OM No. 15012/2/2010-Estt(D) dated 27.03.2012

Selection Process

• Based on the details of candidates of CMSE-2024 available on the Pratibha Setu Portal of UPSC, as on closing date i.e. 17.02.2026, a communication will be sent to the candidates, inviting applications, on the given email id and on the communication address.
• Minimum qualifying standard for the respective category of the candidate will be considered for considering the candidates of reserved category as mentioned in the UPSC application form.
• It is mandatory for the candidates to give their consent for sharing their marks of CMSE 2024 by UPSC with ESIC as per the declaration provided in the application form.
• Based on the applications received, a merit list will be prepared based on the marks of the respective candidates obtained in CMSE-2024, conducted by UPSC.
• Applications received without the consent regarding sharing of marks of CMSE 2024 by UPSC with ESIC shall be summarily rejected.
• Candidates selected will be posted in ESIC Hospitals/Dispensaries anywhere in India as per requirement of ESIC.

General Information/Instructions

Nationality/Citizenship

• A candidate must be either: (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan
• A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
• A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries with the intention of permanently settling in India
• Candidates belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) shall require a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India

Person with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) Eligibility

• Category C: Locomotor Disability (One Arm, One Leg, Both Leg, One Arm and One Leg), Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims (Non-Surgical Jobs)
• Category D: Specific Learning Disability (SLD)
• Category E: Multiple Disabilities (MD) from amongst persons under categories C and D above
• Physical Requirements: Sitting, Standing, Walking, Reading & Writing, Seeing, Hearing, Communication

Important Instructions

• Incomplete or unsigned applications or applications not in the prescribed proforma shall be rejected.
• Applications received without self-attested copies of mark sheets/certificates in support of educational qualification, proof of age, caste certificate, photographs may be rejected.
• Applications received after last date shall be rejected without any communication to the candidate.
• Wrong declarations/submission of false information shall lead to cancellation of the candidature at any stage.
• Canvassing in any form will disqualify a candidate.
• All candidates whether in Government service or in private employment should submit their applications directly to the ESI Corporation.
• Persons already in Regular Government service are required to submit a declaration that they have informed their Head of Office/Department about applying for the selection.
• They have to submit the NOC from the present employer at the time of document verification.
• The decision of ESIC in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, and posting will be final and binding.

Disqualification

• No person who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having spouse living shall be eligible for appointment.
• No person who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person shall be eligible for appointment.
• The Director General of ESIC may grant exemption if such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person.

• Applications submitted by candidates whose names do not appear in the details of candidates of CMSE-2024 on the Pratibha Setu Portal of UPSC, as on closing date i.e. 17.02.2026 shall be summarily rejected.

• One recent self-attested passport size photograph firmly pasted on the application form
• Matriculation/10th Standard or equivalent certificate indicating date of birth
• Degree certificate along with marksheets pertaining to all academic years as proof of educational qualification (provisional certificate acceptable in absence of degree certificate)
• Caste certificate by candidate seeking reservation as SC/ST/OBC/EWS from competent authority
• Declaration by OBC candidate that he/she does not belong to the creamy layer on the closing date i.e. 17.02.2026
